Who We Are:

The United States Air Force Academy Parents Association of Washington State recognizes the unique experience of a service academy education, and exists to support and inform each other and to help us encourage our cadets during this exciting yet challenging period of their lives.

Next Meeting:
Saturday, 20 February at McChord AFB.
10:00 am for those signed up for the WADS tour.
Following the tour the full club group will meet for lunch at McChord.

As a fundraiser the club submits orders four times a year. The next order deadline is 28 February, 2010. Please take a look at our order form and send it in now!

Sal DiMatteo Videos

A friend of the Academy, Sal DiMatteo, creates periodic videos of the cadets in action. This past summer he put out a video about the Class of 2013 going through BCT. Now available is Pageantry 2009. They are only $15 and well received by parents. If you are interested you can contact Sal at saldimatteo@juno.com. USAFAPAWS has no involvement with Sal. This is for your information only.

What We Do:

We publish the USAFAPAWS newsletter for members. It includes helpful information on upcoming Academy events; a calendar of club events; news and pictures about our cadets and families and much more!
We hold monthly meetings to get to know each other, support our cadets and plan or work on our other activities.
We maintain and publish a Membership Roster of cadets and parents from Washington State for use by enrolled members.
We host an Appointee Breakfast each June to honor and meet incoming US Air Force Academy cadets and their families.
We participate in and take our turn hosting the All Service Academies Ball during the holiday season each year. Our club assumes a leadership role every three years, rotating with the Military Academy at Westpoint and Naval Academy parent clubs.
We get together to prepare and mail care packages to all members' cadets at least once per semester.
